Fifteen years ago, the first assignment was an audit. Walk in, review the books, write the report, move on. But something kept pulling in the opposite direction: the same question, in every room, in every organisation: why is this so complicated?

Over the years that followed, the sectors kept changing. Audit work spanning seven industries. A mining operation where the entire accounting function had to be built from the ground up. An insurance group managing over nineteen billion in annual premiums. A multinational running a World Bank and IFC-funded programme. International health organisations operating across West and Central Africa, managing multi-donor grants and reporting to some of the most demanding funders in the world.

The faces changed. The scale changed. But the pattern never did: committed people doing their best inside systems that were making their best harder than it needed to be. That gap became a calling.
